About Our Pastor

Rev. Denton White

A small farm in the Blue Ridge Mountain of Virginia was home and proving grounds for Rev. Denton White. Enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1981, his twenty-year career involved service as a Security Policeman and instructor in Ground Combat Skills. During those years, Jean (his wife) urged him to church with the care only a loving wife can express. With God's grace and love, Pastor White found a strong faith in Christ.

The desire to serve the Gospel that captured his heart grew slowly but relentlessly. Rev. White retired from the USAF and attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, South Hamilton Massachusetts, graduating with a Master of Divinity Degree. Initially ordained in the Presbyterian Church of America, he found his true theological home in the Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. He requested examination by Colloquy to enter the ministerium of the LCMS.
